Glassnode: Strong Resistance Near $87,700 for BTC

The $87,700 average acquisition price of investors who bought Bitcoin in late 2025 is acting as a key resistance level limiting Bitcoin’s rebound.

According to Glassnode, the acquisition price for holders who have held Bitcoin for six to 12 months is currently around $87,700, while that for holders with one to two years of holding history is $99,500. Glassnode explained that selling pressure could form as investors who are in a loss position sell at breakeven when prices rebound.

Above $87,000 are this year’s opening price of $87,490 and the 20-month simple moving average of $87,165.

On the downside, the average acquisition price of U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs at $81,500 and the $80,000 level, where buy orders are concentrated, were analyzed as key support zones.

Glassnode explained that if the $80,000–$81,500 range breaks down, the liquidation zone below $80,000 could be followed by the True Market Mean at around $78,000 as the next downside price level.
