Bitcoin has been unable to surpass its all-time high for an extended period since reaching a record price in October 2025, but the time from a previous peak to a new record has gradually shortened in past cycles, according to on-chain analyst Darkfost.
According to Darkfost, Bitcoin reached a cycle high of approximately $126,230 on October 6, 2025. It has not recorded a new all-time high since then.
In past cycles, the time it took to set a new record after the previous peak declined from 1,180 days in the 2017 cycle to 1,093 days in the 2021 cycle and 849 days in the 2025 cycle.
Darkfost analyzed this shortening interval as one of the changes in the Bitcoin market. He forecast that, if the same pattern as in the past continues, a new all-time high could appear more quickly this time than in the previous cycle.
