Trading in perpetual futures based on traditional assets such as stocks, ETFs and commodities is rapidly expanding on Binance, accelerating cryptocurrency exchanges’ push into traditional financial markets.
According to data cited by Bloomberg, Binance’s monthly trading volume in traditional-asset-linked perpetual futures rose approximately 15-fold, from about $30 billion in January this year to around $445 billion in July. Total RWA perpetual futures volume across centralized exchanges also reached a record high of approximately $460 billion in July, with Binance accounting for more than 75%.
Separately from derivatives, Binance also provides eligible users outside the United States with access to trading in U.S. stocks and ETFs. Abu Dhabi-based Nest Trading brokers the orders, while U.S.-registered broker-dealer Alpaca Securities handles order execution, clearing and settlement, and asset custody.
