Binance said it blocked several North Korea-linked cyberattacks over the past week and that there was no system damage or asset loss.
On the 27th, Binance announced that its security team had identified and blocked multiple cyberattacks linked to North Korea. No cases were identified in which the company’s systems were compromised or assets were lost.
Binance explained that North Korea-linked hacking groups continue to conduct social engineering attacks known as “Contagious Interview.” The attackers use fake job interviews, coding tests and requests to install software to induce targets to execute malicious programs themselves.
Binance urged users not to run code from untrusted sources or install unauthorized software. It also said it would continue strengthening security monitoring, threat detection and internal security management.
