Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said Bitcoin may have formed a cycle bottom and forecast that the market could shift back into an uptrend over the next one to two years.
Armstrong recently shared his views on the market outlook and the U.S. regulatory environment in Singapore. He had previously said that Bitcoin may have formed a bottom for this cycle at around $60,000, while stressing that market prices cannot be predicted with certainty.
Regarding U.S. regulation, he said the legislative process for the CLARITY Act is progressing and expected the SEC and CFTC to establish clear rules separately even if the bill does not pass. Coinbase is also pursuing tokenized stock services in the United States.
Armstrong identified stablecoin payments, the tokenization of stocks and real-world assets, prediction markets, and finance using AI agents as major growth areas for the cryptocurrency market going forward.
