
Bitcoin could surge as high as $250,000 in the coming years, according to an analysis citing expectations for U.S. government liquidity-supply policies and record inflows into exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Arthur Hayes forecasts that Bitcoin’s price could rise to $250,000 over the next several years if the U.S. government continues expanding the money supply, and urged investors to prepare to buy.
Bitcoin has recently risen by about 20% since mid-August, increasing its total market capitalization by more than $300 billion in just a few hours. The market is closely watching the possibility that the U.S. Treasury could use funds in its Treasury General Account (TGA) to support bond purchases.
Gadi Chait, an investment manager at Xapo Bank, said Bitcoin rose about 23% last week, marking its largest weekly gain since March 2023. During the same period, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $1.9 billion in net inflows, while a large-scale short squeeze provided additional upward momentum.
