CCP Games’ space survival MMO EVE Frontier is moving from an Ethereum-based environment to Sui, implementing the game’s on-chain economy and asset systems on the Sui network.
According to the Sui Foundation, CCP Games selected Sui as the blockchain infrastructure for EVE Frontier in October 2025 and officially migrated from its existing standalone Ethereum-based testnet to the Sui testnet in March 2026. Sui is focused on handling large-scale in-game assets and interactions through its object-centric architecture, parallel transaction processing and fast finality.
User convenience is also being enhanced. CCP Games is applying zkLogin and sponsored transactions so users can access on-chain features without paying gas fees themselves or going through complex wallet procedures. The EVE token, which will form the game’s on-chain economy, is also scheduled to operate within the Sui ecosystem.
This migration is significant not merely as a network change, but because it integrates in-game assets, user-created structures and the future $EVE token economy into a single Sui-based environment.
